Celebrate Pi Day With This American Folk Classic

The only holiday that simultaneously celebrates numbers and food.

March 14th, famously known as Pi Day is here. It is on this day that many celebrate the mathematical constant pi, while also indulging in one of the world's best desserts.

As you are doing both, check out the below cover of Don McLean's "American Pie" by the Northern Lights from Durham University. The arrangement has all the great makings of a classic folk tune: a somber intro, a lively middle section that showcases the culture of the song, and two leads that perfectly tell the story.

Have an extra slice of pie for us as you enjoy this one.
