#ICCA Spotlight: The Water Boys - Central Champion

Canada will be represented at ICCA Finals this year.

Hands down, The Water Boys win the award for most relevant group name, in reference to their university. I mean come on...The Water Boys...The University of Waterloo...genius!

Our latest spotlight centers on your 2017 ICCA Central Champion, The Water Boys, the only group endorsed by Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. Seriously, check it out here.

Since 2010, the group has made five appearances at ICCA, meaning their bringing a ton of experience with them to Finals.
Yes, we know members change out, and in the case of The Water Boys, the group re-auditions every 4 months, but we have to believe that all of that knowledge is passed down from past members.

And the guys come from a school that's big on a cappella! One of the group's founding members had a major hand in the creation of the University of Waterloo A Cappella Club, which consists of hundreds students who all share a passion for a cappella music.

We have a feeling that The Water Boys will be an exciting act to watch, full of hard hitting, crowd pleasing music as their vocal percussionist has consecutively won the "Outstanding Vocal Percussionist" award at each ICCA event they've appeared at this year.

See a softer side of the group in their cover of OK Go's "Needing/Getting" below.
