#TBT: Watch As The Rusty Pipes Spectacularly Cover "Shadow of the Day"

The music world lost a major icon today.

News broke earlier today of the passing of Linkin Park's very own Chester Bennington. Bennington was known for having one of the most powerful voices in modern rock helping to propel the rock band into stardom.

With such songs as "In The End," "Numb" and "What I've Done" Linkin Park has been an endless source of great and inspiring music for many collegiate a cappella arrangers.

We remember Bennington through this special cover of one the band's more alluring songs "Shadow of the Day." In this performance by The Rusty Pipes of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the coed group flawlessly balances a sort of quiet intensity against an ever building, energetic rock vibe that results in completely visceral vocals.

We hope you enjoy this humble #TBT that honors one of rock music's all-time greats.
