Some groups just have "it."

In case you're wondering what "it" is, here are a few words that best describe "it." Style, swagger, personality, coolness, and probably a dozen other words.

In today's selection for #WCW, the M&Cs from Mount Holyoke College provide us with some Marian Hill, alternative coolness (our preferred choice for "it"). Great songs have build throughout, and this rendition of Hill's Top 40 hit has the layering game on lockdown. Parts come together effortlessly within the first 45 seconds of the performance and they remain entertaining till the song's conclusion.

What's impressive about the group's cover is its fluidity. It grooves from beginning to end, and the subtle entering and exiting of the percussion really aids in developing a modern feel. And the lead's voice is so elegant that you could easily forget that it's live, confusing it for a studio track.

No doubt you'll enjoy this.
