This TrebleMakers' Cover Of Bishop Briggs' "River" Is Giving Us Goosebumps

One of the truly inspiring aspects of a cappella music is that more and more female groups are breaking down stereotypes.

I don't think there will ever be an end to the conversation of comparing the different types of groups in a cappella: all-male, all-female and mixed. But, if you move away from the conversation, you'll notice that we are on an even playing field. All-female groups have come along way and are solidifying their place each and everyday in the music space.

Don't believe me? They have their own day devoted to the awesomeness that is female centered music (at least that's how we're labeling it) in #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday). In today's #WCW, the TrebleMakers from Miami University straight up destroy this Bishop Briggs cover (this is a good thing). The song is dynamic and by the end has a primal element to it achieved mainly due to the percussion and soloist. Enjoy the group's take and then go check out more of the videos.
